Intelligent market design – boosting global smart grid deployment

23 Maj 2018
09:00 - 16:00
Malmö Live, Dag Hammarskjölds Torg 4, Nordic Clean Energy Week Malmö

How should energy markets be designed to allow for energy system integration and a greater variety of stakeholders and roles? And what are the key elements in market design that we must focus on to accelerate deployment of smart grid technologies and solutions?

These are key questions that will be discussed during this highly interactive international dialogue, jointly hosted by International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) and Swedish Smartgrid during the Nordic Clean Energy Week.

An opportunity to contribute to ministerial policy discussions

The outcome of the workshop will provide input to a high-level panel discussion in Copenhagen the next day – in connection to the Clean Energy Ministerial meetings – focusing on concrete policy recommendations pushing the market design agenda forward.

As a starting point for the discussion, a draft policy document will be distributed to participants in advance, providing a first framing of opportunities and needs to accelerate smart grid deployment.
